Opened in 1925, the Dutch-colonial style
Colgate Inn is a focal point of the historic village of Hamilton.
The Colgate Inn has been pampering guests for 80 years with
its long tradition of small-town hospitality. We invite you
to come relax, unwind and enjoy the comforts of the Colgate
Inn.
80 Years of Hospitality
The beautiful rolling hills of Central New York surround the
historic Colgate Inn, located in the heart of the charming
village of Hamilton. The village’s tree-lined streets,
historic homes, the cupolas of Colgate University, the farmers’
market and band concerts on The Green, give one the sensation
of stepping back in time.
The Colgate Inn combines the charm of a
bed and breakfast with the comforts of a modern hotel. The
Inn’s newly renovated lobby and parlor offer a comfortable
spot to relax with friends while watching the scenes of the
village through the windows. The
Tap Room provides a cozy nook for spirited gatherings,
a quiet drink or a casual meal. The Dining
Room also offers fine dining in the evenings. In addition,
the Inn provides 45 guest rooms,
banquet and meeting facilities, as well as full catering
services. The banquet rooms, patios, parlor and dining
rooms offer a variety of gracious settings for special events
such as wedding receptions, showers, cocktail parties, and
elegant dinners for up to 200 guests or smaller, more intimate
gatherings. Every detail is coordinated to perfection under
the direction of the Inn’s experienced staff.
Guests of the Colgate Inn enjoy exploring
the unique attractions found
in the village and surrounding areas, including the shops,
museums, wineries, scenic lakes and parks, and of course,
Colgate University’s beautiful campus on the hill. Colgate
Inn guests are also invited to enjoy Seven Oaks Golf Course
on the Colgate University campus, which is an 18-hole course
designed by Robert Trent Jones and ranked by Golf Digest as
one of the top five college courses. |
